Leah Haney’s work explores the malleability of space and architectural structures on a two-dimensional plane. The paintings are examinations of perspective and vanishing points blown out of proportion, perverted by multilayer shapes, hyper-colors, and light. Haney plays with the geometry of a room or building, exploding and distorting interior and exterior space. Architectural history, science fiction, and interior design serve as references and inspiration for these dynamic new works.
Haney received a BFA from The University of Texas at Austin. Her paintings were recently featured in a one-person exhibition at AMOA-Arthouse.
